Dental Insurance
We accept most PPO and indemnity dental insurance plans and will help you maximize your benefits.
Most plans accepted
Lakeview Family Dentistry accepts most major PPO and indemnity dental insurance plans. Rather than maintain a static list (which can become outdated as networks change), we recommend calling our office at (727) 863-9669 to verify whether we participate with your specific plan.
Michelle and Sherry, our experienced insurance specialists, can verify your benefits, explain your coverage, and provide an estimate of your out-of-pocket cost before any treatment.
How we work with your insurance
We verify your benefits before your visit.
When you schedule your appointment, we collect your insurance information and verify your benefits before you arrive — so we can give you an accurate estimate.
We provide written treatment estimates.
For any procedure beyond routine care, we provide a written estimate showing the total cost, what your insurance is expected to cover, and your out-of-pocket cost. Most larger estimates will require a formal pre-determination.
We file claims for you.
We submit insurance claims on your behalf as a courtesy — you don't need to handle the paperwork.
We help you maximize your benefits.
Many insurance plans have unused benefits that expire each year. We'll let you know when you're approaching your annual maximum and help you make the most of your coverage.
Don't have dental insurance?
No dental insurance? You're not alone — many of our patients are uninsured. We accept all major credit cards, and we partner with CareCredit to offer flexible financing options. Learn more about financing.
We also believe in transparent pricing. Call us at (727) 863-9669 for cost estimates on specific procedures.
Questions to ask your insurance company
Before your first visit, it can be helpful to call your insurance company and ask:
- What is my annual maximum benefit, and how much have I used?
- What is my deductible, and has it been met?
- What percentage do you cover for preventative care? For basic restorative care? For major restorative care?
- Do I have any waiting periods for major work?
- Is there a frequency limit on cleanings and X-rays?
